X Flats, the provider of luxury apartments, has launched two new residences, X Flats Galata and X Flats Tophane, in the locally-renowned, early 19th century buildings Ojeni(Eugenie) and Yazidjizade. The buildings were renovated by leading historical building restorers Karaoren Architects and decorated by the celebrated designer Philippe Starck to meet the housing needs of travellers in search of an alternative to hotel accommodation and expatriates with lengthy visits to Istanbul for business. “After the launch of our first two locations, connections with multinational companies and consulates have improved rapidly, as have occupancy levels. Therefore, the expansion we were aiming for had to materialize within a very short time span. The process hasn’t been as easy as anticipated; we had to make tiny modifications to determine the right buildings to convert into an ‘X space’,” says the managing owner, Mert Zabitci. “But we have found the perfect locations.”
Ojeni and Yazidjizade were chosen also for their proximity to Istiklal High Street, and access to public transport connections to the business quarter of Istanbul.
